I don't remember exactly what the copy protection is like but it rubbed me the wrong way. Can't determine anything about sound quality as gain adjustment is very simple but it does the job right. It works well, GUI is nice and well thought-out. Note their upgrades are pretty expensive.Ĭan't comment on this CoreFX but I have their Volume Former. Sound Forge Pro 15 adds a lot of features primarily for voiceover which I personally find no use for as I would do it in my DAW. Of course I use my DAW for pretty much everything else. Also great for manipulating multichannel files. It has a batch processing functionality where you can apply its built-in processing as well as VST plugins. There is a loop tuner which makes creating seamless loops easier, which can then be placed into a sampler. I use it for precise sample editing (e.g., make a Dirac impulse). It's miles ahead of free waveform editors. ![]() Sound Forge Pro 13, while 2 versions behind, is a fantastic deal for $25. ![]()
